Welcome to this new space we have created to share news, updates and tell you more about Coopedota’s latest news. For over 65 years, we have believed in our people, our communities, and, of course, our coffee-growing families from Tarrazú region, we are about 1200 members. We would love to tell you more about our what´s going on in “La Coope” and keep you posted.
Participation in WoC San Diego 2026.
Booth 1316! It was incredible to have the opportunity to welcome hundreds of people to this booth at World of Coffee San Diego 2026. From April 10th to 12th, we were telling, sharing, and of course, serving many cups of Coopedota’s coffee to everyone who visited us. We wanted to thank every hardworking coffee producer that trusts us and delivers their coffee to our Mill, so we can export to 16 countries around the world, sharing the quality that define us.
Planeta Vivo Certification
For many years, at Coopedota we have been focused on people, coffee quality, and of course, sustainability. That’s why we hold certifications such as Carbon Neutral, Rainforest Alliance, «Bandera Azul Ecológica» (Blue Flag Ecological Award with 5 stars), and others like Esencial Costa Rica.
April 7th was a crucial date for us; we received another certification: “Planeta Vivo». This certification is awarded by the Costa Rican Ministry of Energy and Environment, and we are one of the first 6 companies in our country to receive it. It all began with the implementation of the EUDR practices within our cooperative and with the coffee producers, practices we were already adhering to, and this certification further validates our commitment, ensuring Costa Rica is a good partner to do business with.
Current coffee crop
The 2025-2026 harvest has been very particular, as is common in the world of coffee. While weather conditions were better than in previous years, there was a considerable decrease in production throughout the Tarrazú region and in all Costa Rica. This has not been an issue to Coopedota to continue focusing on the high-quality coffee that we offer year by year. From every coffee plantation to the cuppings in our QC Lab, every process has been implemented to ensure we can send you our best coffee and continue strengthening our relations. Because, as we say in Coopedota, “together we are better”.
